Privacy Policy

Account information: your name, email address, phone number, password, and the role you sign up under (family, senior, or caregiver).

Care and health information: details you provide about the seniors you onboard, care needs, preferences, schedules, and related notes used to operate the service and improve care matches.

Address and location information: the home or service address you provide during onboarding, and, for caregivers using the mobile app, precise device location during a scheduled visit — used to confirm arrival at check-in and to share live location with authorized family members while a visit is in progress. Location is only collected in connection with an active visit.

Voice and audio: when you use voice input (voice-to-text) features, we process short audio recordings of your speech to transcribe them into text.

Photos and images: your profile photo and any images you choose to attach, such as photos added to a visit or care log.

Messages and user content: the contents of in-app messages and chat, care log notes, reviews, and other content you create on the platform.

Information from Google when you sign in with Google: with your consent we receive your basic Google profile (name and email address) to create and authenticate your account. If you connect your Google Calendar, we access calendar and event data needed to schedule and display care appointments and Google Meet links.

Usage and diagnostics information: device, log, analytics, and crash or performance data generated as you use the platform.

To create and secure your account and authenticate sign-in.

To operate the service, match families and seniors with caregivers, and improve the quality of those matches.

To schedule, display, and manage care appointments, including creating and showing Google Meet links and reading or writing relevant Google Calendar events when you connect your calendar.

To enable visits, including confirming caregiver arrival at check-in and sharing live visit location with authorized family members while a visit is in progress.

To power in-app messaging, and to transcribe voice input into text when you use voice features.

To diagnose problems, monitor performance, and keep the app stable using crash and diagnostic data.

To communicate with you about your account, bookings, and support requests, and to maintain the safety and integrity of the platform.

Solay's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We only request the Google account scopes needed to provide features you use, such as sign-in and calendar scheduling.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell Google user data or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the features you use, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with appropriate safeguards.

You can revoke Solay's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

We never sell your personal data.

We share data only with the caregivers and partners required to deliver your care, and with service providers (such as hosting, communications, and analytics vendors) acting on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public.

We are HIPAA-aligned and pursuing SOC 2 Type II. All care data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by writing to privacy@solay.care.

You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time directly in the app, under Settings → Delete Account. This action is irreversible and removes your profile, messages, bookings, and care information, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.

You can also deactivate your account (a reversible pause), disconnect Google Calendar, or revoke Google access at any time.

Solay is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Care information about seniors is provided by the adults who manage their care.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you.
